9 Months In, 9 Months Out

A wild pud in the bluebell woods

Leo turns 9 months today which means he’ll have been out longer than he was in my tummy. Have to say, pregnancy felt muuuuuch longer. 9 months of life with Leo has gone by in a flash.

Nine months in, nine months out

This photo pretty much sums up the last month. Constant teething and trying to climb everything he shouldn’t 😂

Month eight has seen some monumental changes. Suddenly you’re moving everywhere and in every which way, you enjoy nonstop back and forth games, lift-the-flap books, and you constantly kick off in defiance, rolling and crawling away whenever I change your nappy which is a complete nightmare (especially when it’s a 💩 ). I’ll also remember 8 months as the month you learned to say mama. Very pleased about this because I’m sure once you pick up dada that’s all I’ll hear

I’m back at work and struggling to get the balance right, meaning the house is a state and I’m usually too shattered to care.  We’re also panic-baby-proofing everywhere because naturally you’re drawn to picking up and pulling up on all the most dangerous things  - tips welcome!

You’ve got your two bottom toothy pegs and I think some more are cutting through. You also love playing peekaboo, the “up” and “down” game, roaring back at us, and you giggle like crazy when we exaggerate plosive sounds. Going to see the ducks, geese - and now goslings - is one of your favourite things to do now too.

Oh Leopud, I find it mind blowing that you’re 3/4 of the way through your first year, but what a magical little mischief you’re becoming and what an honour it is to watch you grow.
