πŸ₯Ύ NEEDHAM LAKE 🌊

Or Needham β€œbig bath for ducks πŸ¦†πŸ›β€ as Leo calls it πŸ₯²

You may remember me briefly mentioning this place before. This beautiful lake and nature reserve is rich with wildlife and such a great spot for a picnic, feeding the ducks, or a toddle about. There’s plenty of free parking, a cafe (The Duck & TeapotπŸ«–) and a play area.

The 1.9km circular walk around the lake is a straightforward tarmac route all the way around - also suitable for strollers or wheelchairs - but if you do want to veer off there’s a wildflower meadow and lots of little wooden sculptures, den making areas and hollow climbing logs dotted along the route. πŸͺ΅ I even spotted a carpet of bluebells.

This was the perfect stroll on this sunny morning last week. Leo loved exploring the climbing logs, dragging branches over to make a den, and got very excited whenever the train went past. Choo choo! πŸš‚

I find this is one of those places I tend to forget about and then really enjoy whenever we visit and it always seems to have plenty of space, even when busy.
