Where Blunderlust Begins

I figure I’d better take the leap and post my first Blunderlust blog post or it may never happen.

I’m currently sitting in bed on Christmas Eve. Leo, my 4 month old, is dozing beside me post-feed and I’m procrastinating on all the Christmas to-dos I need to finish before tomorrow.

I’ve been mulling over starting Blunderlust for a while. A culmination of mum life, travel and adventures with a baby in tow and everything in between (now typing this one-handed while pulling faces at Leo who is grinning up at me with his sunbeam cheeks).

Why Blunderlust? To document my wanderlust with all the blunders. Because no mum life or travelling adventures exist without a fair share of silly mistakes, and I’d rather document my trials and tribulations with a memorable dose of humour so we can (hopefully) look back and smile someday. After all, these last four months have flown by and I’ve started to worry about how fleeting life with a little one is going to be.

Despite my copywriting background, I know very little about the blogging community, blogging etiquette, or how to be an enticing blogger, so navigating the blogging scene is likely to be a blunderous affair in and of itself.

I think what I’m really saying is bare with me guys and any pointers would be fabulous.

For now though, it’s Christmas Eve and I’m clocking off to enjoy my baby boy’s first Christmas - and waste more of my time hunting down the start of the sellotape.
